THE SURROUNDINGS
The house is rather isolated on the 15 acres lot with the view of the forest. It is THE perfect place to unwind. The picturesque village of Levignacq is 4 km away. The fortified church of Saint-Martin is classified as a historic monument and dates from the 14th century. The interior of the church houses paintings by local artists from the period between 1713 and 1715 and frescoes from the 15th century. See also the Louis XIII front door in wrought iron and wooden bars.

The more animated villages of St. Julien-en-Born, Mezos and Lit & Mixe with a daily market in the summer are all 7km away. It is 14km to Contis Plage/ beach or Cap de l'Homy beach, a 15 min ride through the beautiful landscape. You can also cycle… there are bike paths all the way from Levignacq to Contis Plage.
The area also offers surf schools, horse riding camps, and Mimizan, Moliets, Seignosse, Hossegor golf courses are not far.

The Cinema de Contis ist a great independent movie theater showing excellent films, all subtitled. A wonderful terrace, very reasonably priced and good internet.
For bike rentals, the shop across the tourist information in St Julien is best. They also have long term rentals and very competitive prices.
BEACHES

you can go to the main Contis beach with lifeguards on duty

the further you go north, the emptier the beach gets

you can also park in Pont Rose and walk to Contis Sud through the woods across the dunes. It is a 15 min walk, but the beach is quiet, empty and simply gorgeous. During low tide, you can then walk across the river back to Contis Nord.
